Dr. Payal Patel is a board certified Pediatrician.  She earned her bachelors from the Honors College at Loyola University of Chicago and went to medical school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove.  She then went onto complete her Pediatric Residency at the University of Toledo.  During residency, she was selected as the "Resident of the Year" in 2007. Prior to joining Pediatric Wellness Center in 2011, she worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Edward Hospital in Naperville for three years.  She has authored textbook chapters and published multiple articles in Pediatrics.  Dr. Patel believes in the whole family approach and treating the patient as a whole.  Her areas of interest include newborn care and preventative medicine.

Dr. Patel has ties to the area as she grew up in Naperville.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and interior decorating (which she has a certification in).  She also treasures the time she spends with family, including her nieces nephews.
